Me

Yes, this is me, age ten. I had
just secretly pocketed a giant cookie from
Stella Rickwa's baking powder display
in the Science Exhibit at school.
The teacher asked sternly,
"WHO ATE THAT COOKIE!?"
None of my classmates ratted on me,
probably because I offered
to share it during recess.
No one partook of the contraband, however.

OK, it's not a truly great collage,
but it is a truly true story.

Giraffes Crossing the Road Sort Of

I used to make miniature dioramas in my past life. So I have
a collection of miniature figures, people, animals, etc. made
by Preiser, a company that caters to railroad train set buffs.
Sadly that hobby is disappearing because kids prefer
to play with electronic games and technology
rather than set up a miniature world on their floor.
Boo hoo, I say.

Just for fun I photographed these tiny figures (2 inches high)
on a calendar photo. And then I altered one of them
in Photoshop and incorporated it into the image
"He Rocked the World" (January 28th).
